The success of a rule of law hinges on public satisfaction. The public is the ultimate beneficiary of a government of law,which is the goal of the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics. All efforts in building a law-based government in Beijing are geared towards achieving the ultimate goal of satisfying the people and benefiting the public.

Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, Beijing has been striving to build a law-based government that is the “best in China” based on its unique position as the capital. It has been working hard to overcome difficulties, adhering to the people-centered development approach, and fully responding to and solving the urgent problems that the people care about.

In recent years, Beijing has been exploring innovative ways and institutional mechanisms, to improve the level of public safety and build the best law-based city in China. In the future, Beijing will adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, contribute to the great cause of building a country under the rule of law and a modern socialist country in all respects, crafting more ever-brighter “Beijing exemplars”.
